Northern Lights facility (Norway): first volumes of CO₂ injected into a seabed infrastructure

The first volumes of CO₂ have been transported by ship from a Norwegian cement factory to the Northern Lights facility in Norway and then injected at sea into storage facilities, TotalEnergies reports on 25/08/2025.

The CO2 is injected into a reservoir 2,600 metres below the seabed off the coast of Øygarden in western Norway.
