Nature credits: €1.16 M for the IAPB from France and the United Kingdom

€1.16 M is the amount contributed by the French and British governments to the IAPB (International Advisory Panel on Biodiversity Credits) to support its efforts to mobilise funding for nature and biodiversity restoration and conservation projects, announced the French Ministry for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Forestry, the Sea and Fisheries on 24/07/2025.

"At a time when the European Commission is publishing its roadmap for nature credits, and when France is deploying the first biodiversity credits in Europe thanks to natural compensation, restoration and renaturation sites, I am delighted that France and the United Kingdom are providing the IAPB with renewed governance and giving it the means to pursue its mission, to consolidate the convergence of national, European and global frameworks for biodiversity credits", says Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister for Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Forestry, the Sea and Fisheries.
