Open calls for agrifood innovative stakeholders in Europe (EIT Food)

EIT Food, as part of the Horizon Europe of the EU, opens several calls for opportunities for startups of the agrifood sector.

EIT Food missions include giving access to affordable and healthier food products to European consumers, improving food security, safety and transparency, cutting food waste, supporting innovation towards a net-zero food system, and promoting the sustainability of the sector.

Their current financing opportunities are:

• Straight2Market: addressed to startups, SMEs, entrepreneurs with MVPs (minimum viable products), and EIT Food alumni students, it offers funding of €30.000 to accelerate food innovations and launch food products aligned with EIT Food missions with retailers. The deadline to apply is 14/08/2025.

• Proof-of-Concept co-financing instrument: addressed to agrifood startups and corporations, it aims to de-risk pilot projects with corporate clients and bring innovative agrifood solutions and products to the market. The deadline is 30/11/2025.
