Giles Dickson is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer of WindEurope, the association representing the European wind energy industry announced on 08/07/2025.

The Board of Directors has set up a nomination committee, including Chairman Henrik Andersen and Rasmus Errboe, Vice-Chairman of WindEurope, to select his successor. Giles Dickson will remain in his position until the end of the process. He will therefore leave WindEurope in the second half of 2025.

Giles Dickson joined WindEurope in September 2015, having previously been Alstom's Vice President for Public Affairs (2008-2015). He now wishes to devote his time to teaching.

" I am very proud of the progress made by wind energy in Europe over the last ten years. […] Having spent most of my career outside the UK, I am delighted to be returning home and being able to contribute to the society I come from. The spirit and dedication of the wind industry is an inspiration. I hope I can pass it on to the schoolchildren of England," says Giles Dickson.
