EUDR: "Against any proposal to amend or repeal the Regulation (European companies and associations)

"The EUDR is a major step forward. It provides a clear, fair and ambitious framework for all players in the European market. We are therefore deeply concerned by the repeated attempts to delay, revise or even repeal the Regulation. We stand firm against any proposal to amend the EUDR that could trigger a new legislative process", state European companies and national alliances committed to sustainable forestry, in an open letter addressed to Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, Jessika Roswall, European Commissioner for the Environment, and all Members of the European Parliament, published on 07/07/2025.

The letter was signed by the Forest Preservation Alliance, the Belgian Sustainable Palm Oil Alliance, Efeca, the International Tropical Timber Technical Association, Ferrero, Nestlé, Tony's Chocolonely, SIPH, Olam Agri, Socfin, Sogescol, Precious Woods, Laboratoires Expanscience, Barry Callebaut and Danone.
