Products containing , consisting of or produced from genetically modified soybean MON 87705×MON 87708×MON 89788, produced by the Bayer group, have obtained, on 04/07/2025, their marketing authorisations, for food or feed use and as an ingredient in food preparations, with the exception of cultivation, under the notification number 2025 / 4049, published in the OJEU of the 07/07/2025.

The authorisation process for these genetically modified soybeans, launched in 2015 by Monsanto (now Bayer), included thorough tests and risk assessments, as well as an environmental effects monitoring plan performed by Bayer Agriculture BV and reviewed by EFSA. EFSA authorised the placing on the market of these soybeans, provided that the labels and accompanying documents mention the presence of ‘increased monounsaturated fat and reduced polyunsaturated fat’. Authorisation is granted for 10 years.
