Seaturns, a Bordeaux-based start-up developing wave technology, announced on 03/07/2025 that it had raised €2.45m.

" This fundraising, which was mainly carried out via the Keenest platform, also benefited from significant support from the historical shareholders Team For The Planet and Sébastien Duez, and from Lawrence Sigaud, Seaturns' Deputy Managing Director, who is becoming a shareholder", Seaturns said. A total of 1,543 investors took part in the fund-raising.

The money raised will be used to finalise R&D with the deployment of the full-scale demonstrator on the SEM-REV site of the Open-C Foundation in Le Croisic (Loire-Atlantique), to launch industrialisation processes and to speed up international marketing.

Seaturns' wave-powered system is based on the principle of oscillating a float combined with pneumatic conversion of wave energy. The company plans to deploy its first commercial wave farms in 2026.
