E-fuels: €23m raised by Khimod; SPI fund (Bpifrance) and Audacia acquiring stakes in the company

Khimod, a French company specialising in technologies for producing low-carbon synthetic molecules and CO2 recovery, announced on 03/07/2025 that it had raised €23m.

Two investors have joined the capital: the SPI fund (Sociétés de projets industriels) managed on behalf of the French government by Bpifrance as part of France Relance, and Audacia's industrial decarbonisation fund. The Alcen Group, Khimod's long-standing shareholder, is renewing its commitment.

This funding will enable Khimod to deploy several industrial demonstrators, boost its production capacity and expand its activities in France and abroad.

"This round of financing comes against a backdrop of strong momentum around Power-to-X technologies, e-fuels and bio-sourced fuels, which are at the heart of the energy transition. It also reflects the evolution of industrial chemistry, marked by the acceleration of continuous-flow chemistry", says the company.

Khimod is developing heat exchanger-reactors, manufactured at its site in Wissous (Essonne / Ile de France). These are used to convert recycled CO2 and hydrogen carbon…
