EV Charging: "We need to avoid revising CO2 emission standards" (Peter Badik, Charge Up Europe)

"The next big issue is obviously the one that structures the whole EV sector, not just charging: the review of CO2 emissions. The main issue is the deployment of EVs, because if there are electric vehicles on the roads, then we'll have customers and we'll be able to prosper. If the subject of revising CO2 targets is reopened - which we hope to avoid - we must be prepared to defend the stability of these targets. Our main argument is predictability. We are an infrastructure industry, investing in long-term assets", Peter Badik, Vice-Chairman of Charge Up Europe and CEO of GreenWay, told News Tank on 30/06/2025.

The Charge Up Europe association renewed its governance in April 2025 and aims "not just to be a lobbying group, but a truly respected player in the field of electric charging". 2024 was a mixed year for the sector, but the association is optimistic about the development of EVs and IRVEs by 2030. Peter Badik also highlights GreenWay's good results for the year.
