EDF: creation of EDF power solutions, merging EDF Renewables and EDF's international division

EDF Renewables and the EDF Group’s international division are joining forces to form EDF power solutions, the electricity company announced on 17/06/2025. The aim of this merger, which is part of EDF’s “Ambitions 2035” corporate plan, is to “strengthen the efficiency and clarity of their international activities.”

The entity is headed by Béatrice Buffon, Senior Executive Vice-President in charge of EDF power solutions’ activities. EDF Power Solutions has a portfolio of 31 GW of gross low-carbon electricity generation capacity in operation worldwide. The entity is active in wind, solar, hydro, and biomass, as well as in electricity system flexibility (grid, battery, pumped storage, low-carbon thermal, hybrid solutions), minigrids, and electric mobility. EDF power solutions has 10,000 employees in 25 countries.
