E-mobility: 169,106 charging points available in France at 31/05/2025 (+27% in one year)

As of 31/05/2025, 169,106 EV charging points open to the public were accessible in France, representing a 27% increase compared with the end of May 2024, according to the national charging infrastructure barometer published on 16/06/2025 by Avere-France, Gireve, and the French Ministry for Ecological Transition.

This figure represents an average of 251 charging points per 100,000 inhabitants on 31/05/2025, compared with 249 on 30/04/2025.

•Access to charging points:
Technical availability: 71% of charging points (PDCs) were available 99% of the time, and 6% were unavailable for more than seven consecutive days in May 2025, a level that has remained stable since the beginning of the year.
Immediate access: This rate was 96% in May 2025, also stable since January. This indicator reflects the average proportion of time during which at least one charging point in a zone is available (not occupied, not out of service, and not under maintenance) regardless of the time or day.
