The European Commission calls interested third parties to submit their possible observations on APG / Macquarie / SKYNRG concentration in the 10 days following this publication in the Official Journal of the European Union, the 12/06/2025. On preliminary examination, the Commission finds that the notified transaction could fall within the scope of the Merger Regulation. However, the final decision on this point is reserved.

The concentration mentioned above consists in an investment made by the Dutch pension investor APG, on behalf of its client ABP, in SkyNRG. The investment amounts to €250 M, in order to support the global scale-up of Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) production of the Dutch provider.

The funding is part of a 300 M€ investment round, which also includes an increased commitment from Macquarie Asset Management (MAM), bringing its total investment to 225 M€. This strategic capital injection will help SkyNRG develop dedicated SAF production facilities in the Netherlands (Delfzijl), Sweden (Project SkyKraft), and the United States (Project Wigeon).
