"The French government is not helping pyrogasification to emerge" (Adrien Haller, Charwood Energy)

"It would be good if the Government showed a willingness to help technologies like pyrogasification emerge, but that's not really the route we're taking," Adrien Haller, CEO of Charwood Energy, tells News Tank on 06/06/2025.

"The French strategy is based on the idea that we will have 100% green gas by 2050; it is based on the assumption that we will divide our consumption by three, which seems optimistic to me, that 40% of the gas will come from methanisation and 60% from pyrogasification. However, these technologies are not on the market today."

Charwood Innovation, located in Colpo (Brittany) and operational since the beginning of 2024, is the group's site dedicated to R&D, in particular to the development of solutions for producing renewable gas from pyrogasification.

Charwood Energy launched a bond issue on the Lita participative financing platform on 13/05/2025 to raise between €800,000 and €1.5 M, with a €1 M limit. Subscriptions are open from 10/06 to 15/07/2025, starting at €300 for individuals and €6,000 for SMEs.
